Infant around Toyland were the riot grrrl band, formed in Minneapolis in 1988. A band was comprised of Kat B'jelland (guitar and vocals), Lori Barbero (drums), and Michelle Leon (bass), who was replaced by Maureen Herman in 1992; Herman left the group in 1996.

A band achieved ill fame through the "baby doll" (kinderwhore) image of Kat Bjell&, dramatically contrasted by a raw power of her singing voice and the aggressive nature and severity of the lyrics. Their fame peaked inside 1993 when they participate within Lollapalooza. Their song "Bruise Violet", from either a album Fontanelle, is an attack on Courtney Love of Hole.

A b& split and reformed throughout a 1990s. Bjelland went in to form Katastrophy Wife in 2000 and produced Angelica's album The Seven Season Itch which was freed around 2002.
